Front and rear cameras are tested with photos and short clips (focus, colours, flash where relevant). What we accept depends on the grade: a Premium phone should not show defects that contradict how it is presented.

How we test the phones we sell
Before a smartphone goes on our website, it follows a clear inspection path.

We assign a cosmetic grade (Premium, Perfect condition, Very good condition or Good condition), set the battery option that reflects reality (Standard, New battery or +90%), and check that everyday functions behave as promised. We only publish a device once its description, cosmetic grade, specifications and warranty information match the device we have prepared. Photographs may be representative of the model, colour and cosmetic grade; when they show the exact unit being sold, we say so explicitly.
Main checks we perform
Our protocol covers 50 check points in 6 categories: general appearance, screen, features, battery, connectivity, and software. Here are the main everyday checks we look at systematically before shipping:
- Charging and portReliable connection and normal charging.
- HousingMatches the stated grade (no undisclosed heavy damage).
- Face ID, Touch ID or equivalentEnrolment and unlocking when the model supports it.
- CamerasEvery advertised lens produces usable photos and video.
- MicrophonesClear sound in video and voice memos.
- SpeakersListening quality at everyday volume.
- CallsClear earpiece and speakerphone when we can run a safe test.
- Proximity sensorScreen behaves normally during a call.
- Main speakerClean sound without abnormal distortion.
- EarpieceVoices audible on calls.
- VibrationNoticeable feedback.
- Physical buttonsVolume, power/side button and mute switch (if fitted) work properly.

Cosmetic grades in plain language
We group appearance into four levels so offers are easy to compare. On the product page you will always see one of these four grades.
- PremiumMinimal signs of wear; the closest to like-new appearance within our refurbished range.
- Perfect conditionExcellent overall condition with only very light marks.
- Very good conditionVisible yet moderate wear; screen and housing remain in good day-to-day condition.
- Good conditionMore noticeable wear while staying fully functional and described honestly before sale.

Battery options explained simply
For each phone we state how the battery is presented. Three situations cover most cases:
- StandardOriginal battery checked by our technicians, with at least 85% of its original capacity (Terms of Sale, article 9.6).
- New batteryThe original battery has been replaced with a new one (100% maximum capacity).
- +90%Maximum capacity of at least 90% of the original capacity, checked before shipping.
We do not rely on a single on-screen percentage. Charging behaviour, stability during everyday-style use and unexpected shutdowns are all considered so the battery option shown on the site stays trustworthy.
